Reflections of Desire is live, performative storytelling of a modern folktale through virtual reality. The project examines the relationship and the desires of human and machines of our days and the foreseeable future.

The project is delivered through cinematic experience in virtual spaces created via a head-mount display, where live storytelling by a performer takes place. An original modern folktale in the style of traditional Korean folklore about the relationship between human, machine, and their desires is presented through this experience. The project aims to reflect on the desires of its current time as older folktales did, and explore the possibilities of building new, interactive spaces that are utilized for drama and performance.
